With the support of the UMCF and Woodbury Community Church, founding pastor Dan Schauer, his wife Marsha, and two other couples launched New Heights Community Church in Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota in 2003. By November of that year, New Heights began holding public worship services in the Hilltop Elementary School gymnasium with nearly 20 people in its core group.
The fundamental mission of New Heights Community Church is to become extraordinary followers of Jesus Christ who seek to transform our community and world by loving God, loving others and making disciples. As a disciple-making community, the church offers small groups, one-on-one meetings and Life Transformation Groups.
New Heights also strives to live out their mission to the people around them. The church interacts with the community through ministering at a senior center, offering seminars addressing community needs, engaging in acts of kindness to the community and much more.
